The Skill India Mission is a flagship initiative launched by the Government of India in July 2015, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The mission’s primary objective is to empower the youth of the country by providing them with essential skills that enhance their employability, productivity, and entrepreneurial potential.
